Games to Target

1. Miami Heat at Charlotte Hornets | Total: 233.5 | CHA -3.5 | 7:00 PM ET

This is the top game on the main slate and it is not all that close. The combined total sits at the highest number on the board tonight and both teams are playing meaningful basketball with real playoff and play-in implications. Charlotte enters as a slight home favorite, which is a reasonable line given where both rosters stand right now. The Hornets are playing their best basketball of the season and have been one of the hotter offensive teams in the league over the past month. LaMelo Ball is a slate-defining play here and the game environment supports his ceiling in every way. Kon Knueppel continues to emerge as a legitimate scoring option and is worth serious consideration in this spot at a price that still reflects his role from earlier in the year. Miami is shorthanded on the wing with Norman Powell out, which opens additional usage for Tyler Herro and the rest of the Heat rotation. This is your first building block on tonight's main slate.

2. Detroit Pistons at Washington Wizards | Total: 234.0 | DET -17.5 | 7:00 PM ET

The Detroit at Washington matchup carries the highest total on the board and deserves more credit from a DFS perspective than a 17.5-point spread would suggest. Washington is playing the second night of a back-to-back, has lost 12 straight games, and is without Alex Sarr, Anthony Davis, Cam Whitmore, Leaky Black, and Kyshawn George. The Wizards have also been one of the worst defensive teams in the league all season in terms of points allowed. Detroit's starters should see full minutes in a comfortable environment and Cade Cunningham, Jalen Duren, and Will Riley all carry elevated ceilings here. The blowout risk does exist with a spread this wide, but if the Pistons play even a half of meaningful basketball the scoring production will be there. Trae Young is also listed day-to-day with a quad issue for Washington, which could deflate the Wizards' offensive efficiency further and tighten the game environment.

3. Cleveland Cavaliers at Milwaukee Bucks | Total: 227.5 | CLE -9.5 | 8:00 PM ET

The Cavaliers are nearly double-digit road favorites against a Milwaukee team that has been one of the most inconsistent offenses in the league over their recent stretch of games. Cleveland is 41-27 on the season and has won seven of their last eight against Milwaukee all-time. The game total opened at 225.5 and has been bet up meaningfully, reflecting sharp action that expects a faster-paced game than the books initially projected. The key watch here is James Harden's thumb fracture. He is listed as a starter in the depth chart but this is the most important health check before lock tonight. If Harden is limited or unavailable, Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley absorb even more of Cleveland's offensive load and both become top priorities on the slate. Giannis Antetokounmpo draws an excellent matchup against Cleveland's frontcourt but his ownership will be very high given the game environment.

4. Phoenix Suns at Minnesota Timberwolves | Total: 227.5 | MIN -5.5 | 8:00 PM ET

Minnesota and Phoenix share the same total as the Cavaliers-Bucks game but the structure of this matchup is different. The Wolves are modest home favorites and the Suns have quietly been one of the more productive offensive teams in the league since their roster was rebuilt at the deadline. Phoenix is missing Dillon Brooks and Mark Williams, which limits their frontcourt depth and defensive versatility, but Devin Booker and Jalen Green continue to generate volume in the scoring column. On the Minnesota side, Julius Randle is coming off a stretch of dominant play and gets a soft frontcourt matchup. Rudy Gobert benefits from Ighodaro starting at center for Phoenix, which should generate post-up opportunities and pick-and-roll looks that Gobert thrives in. Ayo Dosunmu is one of the best value plays on the entire slate in this spot.

5. Indiana Pacers at New York Knicks | Total: 225.5 | NYK -16.5 | 8:30 PM ET

The Knicks are laying more than two touchdowns at home and it is warranted. Indiana is 15-53 on the year and missing Tyrese Haliburton for the season. The spread moved from 17.5 down to 15.5 earlier in the day before settling back near 16.5, reflecting some back-and-forth market action on whether this line was too big. For DFS, the blowout risk here is severe and the appeal of Indiana's players is extremely limited. Karl-Anthony Towns is the primary Knicks target and gets to exploit a depleted Pacers frontcourt. Jose Alvarado and Jordan Clarkson are the minimum-salary dart plays worth considering here, but approach this game cautiously in cash formats given how easily it could get out of hand in the second half.

Games to Fade

The Oklahoma City Thunder at Orlando Magic game is a clear avoid in all formats. OKC is the best team in the league at 53-15 and the combined total of 222.5 is the lowest on the main slate. The Thunder are ferocious defensively and Orlando is missing Franz Wagner, Anthony Black, and Jonathan Isaac. The Magic simply do not have enough firepower to push this game into a high-scoring environment. SGA, Holmgren, and Chet will generate production regardless, but their ownership will be enormous and the game environment does not justify the investment at their price points. Build elsewhere and check back on OKC-Orlando stacks only in large-field GPP formats as a pivot option.

Injuries to Watch

OUT Tonight

Norman Powell (MIA) - Out, Groin Strain

Powell's groin strain has kept him off the floor and his absence is fully priced into the market at this point. Without him, Tyler Herro assumes the primary scoring wing role for Miami and carries a heavier shot-creation burden than usual. Pelle Larsson and Jaime Jaquez Jr. split the remaining wing minutes and both benefit from the extra opportunity. Herro's usage in this spot makes him one of the cleanest cash game options on the slate.

Isaiah Stewart (DET) - Out, Left Calf Strain

Stewart is out for an extended stretch and will not return tonight. Jalen Duren has been running as the full-time starting center in his absence and has responded with some of the best statistical performances of his young career. Tonight's matchup against a depleted Washington frontcourt is a dream setup for Duren and his value rating in the projections CSV reflects exactly why he is one of the highest-floor plays on the main slate.

Alex Sarr (WAS) - Out, Hamstring

Sarr's absence stretches into tonight and Washington's frontcourt is almost completely gutted without him and Anthony Davis. Tristan Vukcevic slides into the starting center role and is a solid contrarian play at a very low salary. He has produced real numbers on a per-minute basis throughout the season and the matchup against Detroit is as soft as it gets.

Anthony Davis (WAS) - Out, Finger

Davis is out for Washington and continues to miss time with his finger injury. His absence alongside Sarr essentially leaves the Wizards frontcourt completely bare, which is excellent news for Detroit's interior players. Jalen Duren's ceiling extends even further when there is no real rim protection on the other side.

Kyshawn George (WAS) - Out, UCL Elbow

Another Washington absence. George's elbow issue keeps him on the shelf and further compresses the Wizards' rotation. Bilal Coulibaly and Tre Johnson handle the bulk of Washington's wing minutes tonight.

Leaky Black (WAS) - Out, Ankle

Black's ankle issue adds to Washington's roster carnage. At this point the Wizards are running a very short rotation with limited reliable contributors, which concentrates DFS value onto a small group of players from both sides of the court.

Anthony Black (ORL) - Out, Abdominal Strain

Black's ongoing absence continues to benefit Jevon Carter at backup guard. With both Black and Wagner unavailable, Orlando's offensive options are meaningfully compressed against an OKC defense that will not give anything up easily.

Mark Williams (PHX) - Out, Foot Stress Reaction

Williams has been sidelined for weeks with a stress reaction in his foot. Oso Ighodaro continues to start at center for Phoenix and has been adequate in the role, though his production tends to be inconsistent. If you are looking for a contrarian dart in the PHX-MIN game, Ighodaro provides access to the game environment at a low salary.

Dillon Brooks (PHX) - Out, Broken Left Hand

Brooks is out until early April after fracturing his hand. His absence reduces Phoenix's defensive versatility and wing depth, which makes Jalen Green's role even larger on the offensive end.

QUESTIONABLE - Monitor Before Lock

Trae Young (WAS) - Questionable, Quad

This is the most important questionable designation on the slate, though perhaps not for the reasons DFS players typically care about. If Young cannot go, Washington's offense becomes nearly non-functional and the game environment shrinks significantly, which reduces the ceiling for Detroit's players who benefit from an opponent that can at least keep the ball moving. If Young plays through the quad issue, his usage will be elevated and he becomes a mid-range salary pivot in the DET-WAS game stack. Monitor this one all the way to lock.

James Harden (CLE) - Questionable, Fractured Right Thumb (Non-Shooting Hand)

This is the second most important designation on the board. Harden has been playing through a fractured thumb in his non-shooting hand and has remained productive, but his availability is never fully certain until he is actually on the court. If Harden sits, Donovan Mitchell's usage spikes even further and he becomes the top cash game option on the slate at his salary. Confirm this one before lock and adjust your Cleveland stack accordingly.

Jarrett Allen (CLE) - Day-to-Day, Right Knee Tendonitis

Allen's knee tendonitis has been an ongoing concern for several weeks. If he cannot play, Thomas Bryant steps into the starting center role for Cleveland. Allen's health matters more for the Cavaliers game stack than for the players directly around him, since his absence opens shot opportunities and post-touch scenarios for Evan Mobley as the primary big.

Players to Target

Cash Game Plays

Cash game construction tonight favors the high-total games and the injury beneficiaries who have absorbed their elevated roles over the last several weeks. These are players with strong projected output, a reliable floor, and enough market support to justify the chalk exposure.

Jalen Duren, C, DET at WAS | $8,300

Duren is the most compelling cash game play on the main slate. His value relative to salary is among the best on the board tonight and his spot is about as favorable as a center matchup gets all season. Washington has lost Stewart, Sarr, and Anthony Davis and has essentially no one capable of guarding the rim or defending Duren in the pick-and-roll. He has been delivering double-double performances at a high rate over his recent stretch and his salary is still very reasonable for the ceiling he carries. Lock him in for cash.

Julius Randle, PF, MIN vs. PHX | $7,700

Randle is well-priced for what he has been delivering lately and his matchup against a Phoenix frontcourt missing Mark Williams is very favorable. He has been the engine of Minnesota's offense during their best stretches of the season and the game total here is good enough to support a productive night regardless of pace. Randle is broadly popular tonight and his ownership will be high, but his floor is consistent enough to justify the chalk exposure in cash formats.

LaMelo Ball, PG, CHA vs. MIA | $8,600

Ball is the primary playmaker on the highest-total game on the board and the matchup is favorable all the way around. Charlotte is home, the total is the best number on the slate, and Ball's usage continues to reach elite levels when the games are competitive. The Hornets need this win to keep pace in the play-in race, which guarantees full effort and full minutes. He is well-priced for his current production level and belongs in every cash game tonight.

Tyler Herro, PG/SG, MIA at CHA | $7,900

Herro's role has expanded with Powell sidelined and he has been the primary scoring option for Miami over the past several weeks. He gets a favorable matchup in the best game environment on the slate and his value score in the projections is solid at his current salary. Charlotte has been soft defensively in the backcourt this season and Herro should find consistent looks from mid-range and at the rim throughout the night. He is a reliable cash anchor on the Miami side of the top game.

Rudy Gobert, C, MIN vs. PHX | $6,600

Gobert is in a dream matchup tonight. Ighodaro is a capable but limited center who cannot contain Gobert on the pick-and-roll or defend the lob. Gobert is well-priced at his current salary and his projection is strong relative to what the number asks you to pay. He is broadly owned tonight for good reason but his floor is so reliable in this spot that the ownership is not a concern in cash formats.

Ayo Dosunmu, SG/SF, MIN vs. PHX | $4,700

Dosunmu is the best value play on the main slate. He projects to return outstanding fantasy points per dollar at his salary and gets a solid game environment in the Timberwolves-Suns matchup. He has been logging consistent minutes for Minnesota and his salary is very low for what he has been producing. His ownership will be high tonight and he is essentially a required piece in cash lineups - he gives you massive salary relief to pay up at the star positions.

Jose Alvarado, PG, NYK vs. IND | $3,200

Alvarado is a tremendous value at minimum salary tonight. He has been Jalen Brunson's primary backup at the point for New York and gets extended run in games the Knicks lead comfortably, which tonight's matchup against Indiana strongly suggests will be the case. His projected fantasy output far outpaces what his price tag implies and his ownership will be very high as a result. He rounds out a cash lineup nicely as a minimum-salary anchor.

GPP Tournament Plays

Cade Cunningham, PG, DET at WAS | $11,300

Cunningham is priced at the top of the board but carries lower ownership than you might expect given the game environment. Most lineups will pivot to cheaper options to save salary, but the DET-WAS game carries the second-highest total on the slate and Cunningham has the kind of ceiling that wins tournaments. He has been on a tear as a passer and scorer over the past month and a soft Washington defense is exactly where that production peaks. If you want to differentiate from the chalk builds that anchor on LaMelo and the CHA-MIA stack, Cunningham gives you a unique construction with enormous upside.

Kon Knueppel, SG, CHA vs. MIA | $7,200

Knueppel is one of the more interesting salary-range plays on the main slate. His ownership is lower than you would expect for a player in the best game environment on the board and his ceiling relative to salary is legitimate. He has been one of Charlotte's more reliable secondary scorers lately and a competitive home game against Miami is a good environment for a perimeter player to pop. If you are building a full Charlotte game stack, Knueppel is the differentiating piece to pair alongside LaMelo and Bridges.

Miles Bridges, PF, CHA vs. MIA | $6,200

Bridges is a strong tournament play in the top game on the board. His value score in the projections is positive and his projected ownership is moderate, giving you meaningful differentiation at a position where the high-priced chalk tends to cluster elsewhere. He is physical enough to exploit Miami's wing defenders and Charlotte's competitive home game guarantees he will see full minutes. He is a natural game stack piece in the CHA-MIA environment.

Devin Booker, PG/SG, PHX at MIN | $8,700

Booker is among the more heavily owned plays on the slate tonight, which limits his pure GPP appeal, but the case for him in tournaments is still compelling. The Phoenix-Minnesota total is excellent, Booker has been the Suns' best player all season, and he consistently delivers ceiling lines regardless of the opponent. He is most interesting as a GPP anchor if you want to pivot off the Charlotte-Miami stack that most of the field will lean toward. Building a PHX-MIN game stack around Booker and Randle gives you a clean secondary stack with real differentiation.

Will Riley, SF/PF, WAS vs. DET | $5,100

Riley is a tournament dart worth considering in the Detroit-Washington game. His ownership is lower than you would expect given how much run he has been getting for Washington with their wing rotation completely depleted. The game environment is strong enough on both sides that a Riley performance in the 25-plus fantasy point range is realistic. He is the kind of play that wins tournaments from the underdog side of a blowout by catching momentum while the game is still competitive early on.

Naz Reid, PF/C, MIN vs. PHX | $5,500

Reid has been one of the most consistent bench contributors in the league this season and is well-priced for what he delivers off the Minnesota bench. His ownership is moderate and the game environment supports production from both rosters. He gives you access to the PHX-MIN game at a salary that allows you to pay up at the star positions and his role as Minnesota's primary frontcourt backup means meaningful minutes even in comfortable wins.

Tristan Vukcevic, C, WAS vs. DET | $4,900

Vukcevic is a low-owned dart in the second-highest-total game on the board. His ownership is extremely low, which makes him a genuine contrarian option in large-field GPPs. He starts at center for Washington and will see full minutes regardless of how lopsided the game becomes. If you are building a Washington stack to combat the field's Detroit-heavy construction, Vukcevic paired with Riley and Bub Carrington gives you a unique lineup with real ceiling in a game environment that supports production from both sides.

Final Thoughts

Tonight's six-game slate has a clear hierarchy. The Charlotte at Miami game is your anchor and you should be building your cash lineups around LaMelo Ball, Tyler Herro, and the CHA-MIA game environment. Pair that with Jalen Duren from the Detroit side of the second game, Ayo Dosunmu as your value play, and Alvarado at minimum salary to unlock the salary you need at the top.

In GPP, the DET-WAS game is underappreciated from a DFS standpoint. Most players will fade the blowout risk but the total is the highest on the board and Cunningham has genuine tournament-winning upside in this spot. Building a Detroit stack with Cunningham, Duren, and a Washington contrarian like Riley or Vukcevic gives you a lineup composition that the field will not be on heavily.
