Free sports bet tracker

Log every bet and see return on investment, units won and results broken down by bet type, sport and sportsbook. It also records the closing price on each bet, meaning the number the market settled at after you placed it.

Why tracking changes how you bet

Almost nobody remembers their record accurately. Memory keeps the big wins and quietly discards the small losses, which is why most bettors believe they are closer to break even than they are. A tracked record removes the argument.

The useful part is not the total, it is the breakdown. Bettors are rarely equally good across everything they bet. A record split by sport and bet type usually shows one or two categories carrying the profit and several quietly draining it, and that is information you can act on immediately by simply betting less of the losing category.

Sample size applies to your own results as much as to any system. A hundred bets tells you very little, because variance at a 53 percent win rate is wide enough to produce long losing stretches for a winning bettor and long winning stretches for a losing one.

What the closing price tells you

If you regularly bet a number better than where the market closes, you are finding value before the market corrects, and that tends to predict long-run results better than your win rate does over any short period.

It is a faster signal than profit because it is available immediately and does not need hundreds of settled bets to become meaningful. You can be beating the closing number and still be down over fifty bets, and in that situation the process is working even though the balance says otherwise.

Frequently asked questions

Is the bet tracker free?

Yes, with a free account.

Which sports and books can I track?

Any sport and any sportsbook. Bets are logged manually so nothing is limited to a particular book.

What is a unit?

A single consistent bet size, usually one to two percent of a bankroll. Tracking in units rather than currency makes results comparable as your bankroll changes.

What is closing line value?

The difference between the price you bet and the price the market settled at. Consistently beating the close suggests you are finding value early.

How many bets before my results mean anything?

More than most people expect. Several hundred at minimum, because variance easily produces long winning and losing runs in either direction.
