How the NHL optimizer builds lineups

The optimizer solves each lineup with branch and bound under the $50,000 cap. It never uses a greedy shortcut.

In GPP mode it rotates through the highest ceiling line and power play stacks from our simulation, then fills the rest of the roster. Exposure caps stop one stack from taking over your portfolio.

It follows the DraftKings rules: 2 C, 3 W, 2 D, 1 G and 1 UTIL, from at least 3 teams across at least 2 games.

Stacking settings

Primary stack size sets how many skaters come from one line or power play unit. The secondary stack adds a second, smaller stack from another game.

Never play a goalie against my primary stack removes the goalie who faces your stack, since a big night for your skaters is a bad night for him.

Showdown

Showdown lineups use 1 captain at 1.5 times salary and points plus 5 flex players from one game. Pick a showdown slate in the dropdown.
