WNBA lineup optimizer for DraftKings and FanDuel

Build optimal WNBA lineups with projections, exposure settings and CSV export. This runs branch and bound rather than a greedy fill, so the lineup it returns is provably the highest-projected one available under your constraints. Ask for multiple lineups and it re-solves for each with a diversity penalty, so you get genuinely different rosters instead of the same core with one player swapped.

Small slates change how you build

WNBA slates are often three or four games, which means the pool of viable players is small enough that most entrants land on similar rosters. Differentiation has to come from a small number of deliberate decisions rather than from finding players nobody noticed, because on a slate this size there are no players nobody noticed.

Correlation matters more as a result. With few games, taking multiple players from the same favourable matchup is closer to a necessity than a strategy, and lineups spread thinly across every game tend to include several players in the worst spots on the board.

Minutes and small rosters

Rosters carry around a dozen players, so a single absence redistributes minutes and usage far more sharply than in a deeper league. One injury can move several projections by a wide margin and often decides the optimal lineup on its own.

Recent minutes are the input to trust. A trailing average over the last handful of games beats a season average by a wide margin whenever a role has changed, and roles change often in a short season.

Frequently asked questions

Is the WNBA optimizer free?

Yes, with no entry cap on the base optimizer.

Why do small slates change strategy?

The viable player pool is small, so lineups converge. Differentiation comes from a few deliberate choices rather than from obscure players.

How much does one injury matter?

A great deal. Small rosters mean minutes and usage concentrate on a few players rather than spreading across a bench.

Should I use season averages for minutes?

No. A trailing average over the last several games is more accurate whenever a role has changed.

Can I export to DraftKings?

Yes, as a CSV in DraftKings upload format.
