Games to Target
1. Denver Nuggets at San Antonio Spurs | Total: ~231 | 9:00 PM ET
The highest total on tonight's board. Nikola Jokic travels to San Antonio the night after Denver played Houston, and this is a crucial game in the Western Conference standings. The Spurs have a rapidly developing young core led by Victor Wembanyama, and the pace in San Antonio has been excellent this season. Keep a close eye on Wembanyama's questionable tag tonight -- if he plays, this game has legitimate 240-plus ceiling. If Wemby sits, the DFS environment around Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Stephon Castle gets even more interesting. Either way, exposure to this game is mandatory.
2. Milwaukee Bucks at Miami Heat | Total: ~226 | 7:30 PM ET
An early window game with a big total. The Heat are missing Norman Powell, Andrew Wiggins, Terry Rozier, and Nikola Jovic, leaving Tyler Herro (questionable with a rib injury) as the offensive focal point if active. Giannis Antetokounmpo against a depleted Miami defense is a nightmare matchup for the Heat. Milwaukee's depth is also thin with Kevin Porter Jr. and Bobby Portis both questionable, meaning someone in that rotation is going to eat. This game has a terrific floor for fantasy production out of the main stars.
3. Dallas Mavericks at Memphis Grizzlies | Total: ~227 | 8:00 PM ET
Memphis is decimated. Ja Morant, Zach Edey, Santi Aldama, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Brandon Clarke are all out. Walter Clayton Jr. and Cam Spencer are both questionable or doubtful. That pushes Javon Small, GG Jackson, Olivier-Maxence Prosper, and Cam Spencer into massive roles at bargain salaries. On the Dallas side, Klay Thompson is doubtful, and Kyrie Irving is out for the season, meaning Cooper Flagg and the Mavericks' supporting cast will carry the load. The Memphis injury situation creates some of the best value on the slate.
4. Boston Celtics at Oklahoma City Thunder | Total: ~222 | 9:30 PM ET
A strong game featuring two of the better teams in the league, but the storyline is Boston's injury situation. Jayson Tatum is out, Nikola Vucevic is out, and Derrick White is questionable. On the OKC side, Jalen Williams and Isaiah Hartenstein are both out. Jaylen Brown becomes the unquestioned focal point of the Celtics offense, and his ceiling tonight is enormous. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander should dominate a Boston defense missing key pieces. Both stars are strong plays in this spot.
Games to Approach With Caution
Philadelphia at Detroit (7:00 PM, ~213 total) is a lower-total game, though the massive Sixers injury situation (Embiid, Maxey, George, Oubre, Bona, and Broome all out) means Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren are in line for huge usage. Chicago at LA Lakers (10:30 PM, ~213 total) also carries a low total and comes with significant roster uncertainty due to LeBron's questionable tag. Fade this game for cash, but LeBron's absence would make it a GPP playground.
Injuries to Watch - OUT
Joel Embiid (PHI) - Out, Oblique | Tyrese Maxey (PHI) - Out, Finger | Paul George (PHI) - Suspended
Philadelphia is playing without their three best players tonight. That is a remarkable circumstance for DFS. Quentin Grimes takes over as the primary guard and should see elite usage. Cameron Payne runs the offense at point guard. VJ Edgecombe steps into a starting role with a wide-open lane to fantasy production. Dominick Barlow and Trendon Watford absorb the frontcourt minutes. Andre Drummond should be in line for strong rebounding and center minutes without Johni Broome (also out) or Adem Bona (also out) in the way.
Ja Morant, Zach Edey, Santi Aldama, KCP, Brandon Clarke (MEM) - All Out
Memphis is essentially running a G League roster tonight. Javon Small is the projected starting point guard and is one of the best values on the entire slate given his salary. GG Jackson slots into a massive offensive role. Olivier-Maxence Prosper starts at center and should see career-high usage. Taylor Hendricks fills out the frontcourt. Rayan Rupert and Jahmai Mashack absorb wing minutes. This is the single best injury stack situation on today's slate.
Jayson Tatum (BOS) - Out, Conditioning | Nikola Vucevic (BOS) - Out, Finger
Boston's top two bigs and their leading scorer are out. Jaylen Brown becomes a one-man wrecking crew and his usage will be elite. Neemias Queta steps in at center and should see full minutes against an OKC team also missing Hartenstein in the frontcourt. Payton Pritchard has more playmaking responsibility with White questionable.
Jalen Williams + Isaiah Hartenstein (OKC) - Both Out, Hamstring / Calf
Oklahoma City loses two key contributors. Chet Holmgren absorbs more frontcourt minutes. Cason Wallace and Ajay Mitchell see additional rotational opportunities. SGA's usage has never been higher in this offense when Williams is out.
Anthony Davis (WAS) - Out, Hand | D'Angelo Russell (WAS) - Out, Not With Team
Washington is extremely thin. Trae Young carries the entire offensive load but his salary reflects it. Tre Johnson and Bub Carrington see guard minutes. Will Riley absorbs forward usage. On the Orlando side, this is a fantastic spot for Paolo Banchero and Desmond Bane against a defense that has very little stopping them.
QUESTIONABLE - Monitor Before Lock
Victor Wembanyama (SAS) - Questionable, Ankle
This is the most critical questionable on the entire slate. Wemby is listed with an ankle injury heading into tonight's home game against Denver. If he is out, Nikola Jokic becomes an even more obvious tournament anchor as the best player on the floor by a wide margin. Stephon Castle and DeAaron Fox would see increased usage for San Antonio. If Wemby plays, this is still an elite spot for Jokic, but the game's ceiling shifts significantly. Monitor this aggressively before lock.
LeBron James (LAL) - Questionable, Elbow/Foot
LeBron has been dealing with both left elbow soreness and left foot arthritis. His status is genuinely uncertain tonight. If he sits, Austin Reaves and Matas Buzelis (probable) absorb massive usage. The Lakers vs. Bulls game total is low but a LeBron absence would push both Reaves and Chicago's Josh Giddey into tremendous value territory. The entire CHI/LAL game stack flips depending on his status.
Tyler Herro (MIA) - Questionable, Ribs
If Herro sits, Miami's already depleted offense is in serious trouble. Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Pelle Larsson would see heavy wing minutes. Bam Adebayo becomes the entire offense. If Herro plays, he is a top cash game option in this environment against Milwaukee.
Grayson Allen (PHX) - Questionable, Knee | Andrew Nembhard (IND) - Questionable, Back
The PHX/IND game already has significant injury carnage with Pascal Siakam, Tyrese Haliburton, Mark Williams, and Ivica Zubac (questionable) all out. If Nembhard also sits, T.J. McConnell (also questionable with a hamstring) or Jarace Walker and Aaron Nesmith absorb meaningful playmaking minutes. Devin Booker and Jalen Green are the top plays in this game regardless of what happens around them.
Cam Spencer (MEM) - Questionable, Back
Spencer is already one of the best values on the slate. If he is confirmed out, Javon Small and Rayan Rupert see even more usage. Spencer's status is critical for stacking the Grizzlies.
Players to Target

Cash Game Plays
These players have strong projections relative to salary and high projected ownership for good reason. In cash games, you want reliability. Stack your core with these names.
Nikola Jokic, C, DEN at SAS | $12,500
Jokic is the best player in the world on the highest-total game of the night. The Spurs may be without Wembanyama entirely, and even if Wemby plays, Jokic has dominated this matchup historically. He is the safest anchor on the board. If you are in cash games, you build around Jokic. His salary is high but his floor is a 50-plus fantasy point performance. Pay up and do not look back.
Javon Small, PG, MEM vs. DAL | $5,500
Small is the highest-projected-ownership player on the slate at over 53%, and that number is completely justified. With Morant, Edey, Aldama, KCP, and Clarke all out, Small is the lead guard for Memphis against a game that has a strong total. His salary is a gift. This is the closest thing to a must-play cash game value on tonight's slate. Pair him with Jokic and you are in business.
Jaylen Brown, SG/SF, BOS at OKC | $9,300
Tatum is out. Brown is the unquestioned alpha for Boston and will see a maximum usage ceiling. His projected ownership of 25.5% is fair but not prohibitive in cash. He projects near the top of the salary scale and his ceiling in this spot is massive. OKC is also missing Williams, which helps Boston's scoring environment. Lock Brown in for both cash and GPP.
Cooper Flagg, PG/SF, DAL at MEM | $8,500
Flagg is the third highest-projected ownership player on the slate for a reason. Memphis is a shell of a team tonight and Flagg should carve them up all game. His dual positional eligibility at PG and SF adds flexibility to lineup construction. He projects well and his ceiling of 49 is one of the highest on the slate at his salary. Strong cash game play.
GG Jackson, PF, MEM vs. DAL | $5,800
Jackson has an enormous role with Memphis decimated. His projected ownership of 33% reflects that the field sees it too. At his salary he projects at strong value, and his ceiling relative to what he costs makes him one of the better cash plays on the board tonight. This is not a fade situation. Stack with Small if you can.
Giannis Antetokounmpo, PF, MIL at MIA | $10,500
Giannis is in a dream spot tonight. Miami is missing Powell, Wiggins, Rozier, and Jovic. Bam Adebayo will be his primary matchup and even Bam struggles to contain him when Giannis has a full head of steam. He projects near 50 fantasy points and his ceiling of 58.6 is enormous. This is a game-script dominant play where Milwaukee should pull ahead and lean on Giannis the entire way.
GPP Tournament Plays
These players carry lower ownership but real ceiling upside. Winning a large-field tournament requires differentiation. These are the names that can separate your lineup from the chalk field.
Olivier-Maxence Prosper, PF/C, MEM vs. DAL | $4,900
Prosper is projected at nearly 49% ownership, which sounds high, but at $4,900 with a starting role in the most injury-depleted lineup on the slate, the value is genuinely there. He is more of a contrarian high-floor play than a pure GPP dart. His ceiling of 34.8 on a $4,900 salary in a game with a 227 total is hard to fade. In a tournament, he gives you the MEM stack exposure that the field will have while still leaving salary for elite players.
Stephon Castle, SG, SAS vs. DEN | $7,200
Castle has quietly been one of the better young guards in the league this season and gets a home game against Denver. If Wemby sits, Castle's usage explodes to near-star levels. His projected ownership of 13.3% gives you real differentiation in a game with the highest total on the slate. At $7,200, the value is strong. This is a high-upside GPP play that fits perfectly in the DEN/SAS game stack alongside Jokic.
Rayan Rupert, SF, MEM vs. DAL | $4,300
Rupert is a 10-day contract player who benefits directly from the Memphis injury avalanche. His projected ownership of 25.7% is moderate and his salary is very low. In a game with a 227 total, even a secondary Memphis player can deliver strong fantasy value when the rotational minutes are this wide open. This is a classic tournament pivot that differentiates from the more obvious Small and Jackson stacks.
VJ Edgecombe, SG, PHI vs. DET | $8,100
Edgecombe is projected at just 2.2% ownership despite Embiid, Maxey, George, Oubre, Bona, and Broome all being out. He has a $8,100 salary that feels high at first glance, but when every Sixers star is gone, someone inherits the usage. Edgecombe projects 34 fantasy points and his ceiling is 42. If he hits his ceiling in a high-usage Sixers offense without any other weapons, he is a tournament winner at his ownership. This is the most contrarian high-upside play on the slate.
Devin Booker, PG/SG, PHX at IND | $8,800
Booker gets to play against a Pacers team missing Haliburton, Siakam, Zubac (questionable), Furphy, and potentially McConnell, Nembhard, and Nesmith as well. Phoenix plays at a high pace and Booker's playmaking ceiling in a wide-open game like this is massive. At 15.3% ownership in a game most will undervalue, he is a viable tournament differentiator from the chalk-heavy Jokic, Brown, and Giannis cores.
Cam Spencer, SG/SF, MEM vs. DAL | $5,100
If Spencer is confirmed active after his back scare, he jumps to one of the best values on the entire slate. His projected ownership of 40% assumes he plays, and in that case he is underowned relative to his situation. If he is out, pivot to Rupert and Mashack. Either way the Memphis game is a DFS goldmine tonight. Spencer's ceiling of 35 at this salary in this game context is hard to pass up if active.
Final Thoughts
Tonight's critical watches before lock: Wembanyama's ankle, LeBron's elbow and foot, Tyler Herro's ribs, and Cam Spencer's back. Those four status updates will reshape lineup construction significantly.
