Games to Target

1. ORL at DAL | Total: 238.5 | ORL -6.5 | 8:30 PM ET

The top game on the board has Orlando traveling to Dallas for a matchup that projects as one of the most explosive of the night. The Mavericks are down Kyrie Irving (season-ending knee), Dereck Lively II (season-ending foot), and are borderline players at P.J. Washington (illness, doubtful) and Marvin Bagley III (shoulder, doubtful). That leaves Dallas relying on a limited supporting cast against a Magic team with real offensive horsepower. Paolo Banchero commands lead-scorer duties with no credible interior help from Dallas, and Desmond Bane is an elite floor player in this game environment given the lack of defensive resistance. On the Dallas side, Daniel Gafford absorbs maximum rim-running usage with Lively gone, and Brandon Williams has emerged as the primary ball-handler in a role that gives him real scoring and assist upside. The implied totals favor Orlando, but Dallas needs to push pace to stay competitive, which benefits both rosters.

2. CHI at NYK | Total: 237.5 | NYK -15.5 | 7:30 PM ET

New York is a massive home favorite and Chicago arrives with significant roster questions. Anfernee Simons (wrist) is out, Josh Giddey (hamstring) is questionable, and Tre Jones (ankle) is also questionable - Chicago's backcourt depth is paper thin. Karl-Anthony Towns anchors the Knicks lineup with an elite floor given the combination of implied total and lopsided spread. Mikal Bridges is broadly rostered but for good reason - he produces efficiently in games where the Knicks are running up the score, and OG Anunoby's salary at $6,600 has not reflected his recent volume increase. The blowout risk with a 15.5-point spread is real, so Chicago players require lineup insurance: Coby White will get his touches regardless of game script, and any confirmed Giddey absence amplifies White's and other guards' value.

3. MIN at PHI | Total: 235.5 | PHI -2 | 7:00 PM ET

This is the most volatile game on the slate and the one most dependent on the late injury wire. Minnesota comes in on the second night of a back-to-back after playing Detroit on Thursday, and Anthony Edwards (knee/illness) missed that game and is questionable again tonight. Joel Embiid is listed as doubtful with an illness, and Johni Broome is already ruled out for Philadelphia. If both Edwards and Embiid are confirmed out, this game transforms dramatically. Andre Drummond and Adem Bona absorb enormous upside at cheap salaries for Philadelphia, while Donte DiVincenzo and Mike Conley step into expanded roles for Minnesota. Even with partial participation from either star, this game's total and competitive spread keep both rosters in play. Lock your alerts for 6:00 PM ET.

Games to Fade: Boston at Milwaukee (217.5, BOS -16.5) is the clear avoid. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis are both out for Milwaukee, and the Bucks are running a skeleton rotation. The total is the lowest on the slate by a considerable margin, and the wide spread introduces constant blowout and early hook risk. Boston starters are fine if you need exposure, but bench contributors on both sides carry real DNP risk once the outcome is clear.

Injuries to Watch

OUT Tonight

Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL) - Out, Knee

Giannis has been ruled out for tonight's game against Boston. Milwaukee's offense and defense both run through him, and his absence is already reflected in a spread that has the Bucks as 16.5-point home dogs. Brook Lopez absorbs the biggest fantasy bump as the primary scoring threat inside, and Khris Middleton... Brook Lopez and Milwaukee's remaining healthy rotation players face a heavy workload in a game with a low ceiling. The BOS-MIL matchup is a fade overall, but Lopez is the primary beneficiary if you need MIL exposure.

Joel Embiid (PHI) - Doubtful, Illness

Embiid is listed as doubtful heading into tonight's game against Minnesota. With Johni Broome already ruled out, a confirmed Embiid absence gives Andre Drummond a starting-center role with full minutes and elevated usage. Adem Bona is the backup center who sees additional floor time if Embiid is out. Both are well under typical salary for the minutes opportunity they'd receive - monitor the official report at 5:30 PM ET.

Tyrese Haliburton + Indiana Backcourt (IND) - Multiple Players Out

Indiana is navigating one of the most severe injury situations in the league right now. Haliburton (Achilles, season-ending), Andrew Nembhard (back), T.J. McConnell (hamstring), and Aaron Nesmith (neck) are all ruled out for tonight's game at Charlotte. That's essentially the entire starting and rotation backcourt. Quenton Jackson and Kam Jones are absorbing starting-caliber run, and the game total sits at 234.5 against a Charlotte team that is also shorthanded. The opportunity for both guards is significant given the salary discount that has not caught up to the usage reality.

Memphis Grizzlies - Depleted Roster (MEM)

Memphis is running one of the thinnest rosters in the NBA tonight. Ja Morant (UCL, season), Zach Edey (ankle), Jaylen Wells (toe), Ty Jerome (ankle), Cam Spencer (back), and Taj Gibson (doubtful, foot) are all out or near-out. Walter Clayton, Cedric Coward, Adama Bal, Jahmai Mashack, Javon Small, and GG Jackson are all absorbing inflated minutes in a game where Toronto is favored by 13. Memphis will need to push pace to stay competitive, which inflates the fantasy ceiling for the entire active rotation.

Utah Jazz - Multiple Absences (UTA)

Utah is without Keyonte George (hamstring), Isaiah Collier (hamstring), Lauri Markkanen (hip), Walker Kessler (shoulder, season), and Jusuf Nurkic (season). Kennedy Chandler is the primary guard absorbing the backcourt usage, and Oscar Tshiebwe steps into a front-line role with inflated minutes. Houston is a 17-point favorite, so Utah players carry game-script risk in the second half - use with caution in cash.

Sacramento Kings - Key Absences (SAC)

Sacramento is missing Keegan Murray (ankle), Russell Westbrook (toe), Domantas Sabonis (knee, season), De'Andre Hunter (eye, season), and Zach LaVine (hand, season). The Kings are heavily depleted against a New Orleans team that should take advantage. Malik Monk is listed as questionable with a shoulder issue, and his status will matter for the Sacramento DFS exposure. De'Aaron Fox and Domantas... De'Aaron Fox and the Kings' remaining healthy contributors face a heavier workload, but the matchup against a New Orleans team playing at a higher level creates some ceiling risk.

Dallas Mavericks - Injury-Driven Opportunity (DAL)

Beyond Kyrie Irving and Dereck Lively II being lost for the season, Dallas is also dealing with P.J. Washington (illness, doubtful) and Marvin Bagley III (shoulder, doubtful). Khris Middleton is absorbing wing minutes at a salary that has not adjusted to his current role, and Daniel Gafford is the unquestioned starting center with full run available. Brandon Williams has stepped into the primary ball-handling role and carries assist upside alongside scoring opportunity in the highest-total game on the slate.

QUESTIONABLE - Monitor Before Lock

Joel Embiid (PHI) - Illness, Doubtful

Embiid is the most impactful news item on tonight's slate. If he is confirmed out before the 7:00 PM ET lock, Drummond and Bona both become near-cash plays at their salary levels. Check the final injury report and set alerts.

Anthony Edwards (MIN) - Knee/Illness

Edwards missed Thursday's game against Detroit and is questionable for tonight's matchup at Philadelphia. Minnesota is the second leg of a back-to-back, which adds an extra reason for caution. If Edwards is out, DiVincenzo and Mike Conley absorb usage bumps and the entire Minnesota side reshuffles for tournament purposes.

Josh Giddey (CHI) - Hamstring

Giddey is questionable for tonight's game against the Knicks. If he misses it, Coby White's role expands significantly as the primary guard creation option. White is already worth monitoring regardless, but a Giddey absence makes him a serious GPP target.

Malik Monk (SAC) - Shoulder

Monk is questionable with a shoulder issue for tonight's game against New Orleans. Given Sacramento's already-depleted roster, his absence would push additional usage to the remaining healthy players, particularly De'Aaron Fox. Confirm his status before building any SAC-heavy lineups.

P.J. Washington (DAL) - Illness, Doubtful

Washington is doubtful for tonight's game against Orlando. His absence further thins Dallas's wing depth and could mean additional Khris Middleton minutes in a favorable game environment.

Players to Target

Cash Game Plays

Karl-Anthony Towns, C, NYK vs CHI | $9,300

KAT is the slate's cash anchor. New York is a 15.5-point home favorite with one of the higher implied totals on the board, and Towns has been posting big numbers against softer frontcourt matchups all season. Chicago has no credible answer for him at center, and his salary-adjusted production has been among the best at the position. His floor is elite, and he should comfortably reach the production threshold needed for cash-game lineups. Broadly rostered and worth paying up for.

Paolo Banchero, F, ORL at DAL | $9,100

Banchero is the primary scoring option for the top game on the slate. Dallas is missing its best interior anchor and now may also be short two key wing contributors. That leaves Banchero free to operate against a limited front-line with no real shot-blocking threat. His usage rate in big games is consistent, and the matchup tonight is as favorable as it gets at his salary. He draws broadly rostered status for good reason - this is the kind of game environment that produces 50-fantasy-point outings.

Desmond Bane, G, ORL at DAL | $7,100

Bane has become a volume scorer and distributor in Orlando's offense. In the highest-total game on the slate, facing a Dallas defense with multiple absences, his floor is among the best at the guard position. He'll get clean looks off movement and take his shots in transition against a team that can't afford to slow the pace. Heavily rostered in cash but the game environment justifies it.

Amen Thompson, G, HOU vs UTA | $7,800

Houston is a 17-point home favorite against a Utah team missing multiple key guards. Thompson thrives in pace-up games where he can push in transition and crash the offensive glass - Utah's depleted backcourt creates exactly that scenario. He's projected for heavy minutes in a game where Houston should be rolling, and his salary has not priced in the full extent of Utah's injury situation. Broadly rostered but the floor supports cash.

Mikal Bridges, F, NYK vs CHI | $5,400

Bridges is the mid-salary cash play in the NYK vs CHI matchup. He logs heavy minutes as a wing scorer and defender, and Chicago's backcourt situation means he should see clean matchups throughout. His production is consistent rather than spectacular, but at this salary the floor is reliable in a game New York should control from start to finish. Among the most broadly owned mid-range options on the slate.

Onyeka Okongwu, C, ATL at BKN | $6,300

Jock Landale is out at least two weeks with an ankle injury, and Okongwu absorbs full starting center minutes for the Hawks. Atlanta is a 16.5-point road favorite against a Brooklyn team that offers minimal frontcourt resistance. Okongwu has the physicality to dominate minutes against backup bigs, and his salary keeps him in value range despite the elevated production expected from him. Broadly rostered with a strong floor.

GPP Tournament Plays

Quenton Jackson, G, IND at CHA | $4,100

This is the injury-driven value story of the entire slate. With Haliburton, Nembhard, McConnell, and Nesmith all out, Jackson is logging starting-caliber minutes as one of Indiana's primary backcourt options. The game total is 234.5 and Charlotte is also missing contributors, which means this game has reason to stay competitive. Jackson's salary has not come close to reflecting what he is being asked to do right now - his ceiling relative to price is among the best on the board. Lower projected ownership makes him an ideal GPP differentiator.

Walter Clayton, G, MEM vs TOR | $4,400

The highest value score on the slate belongs to Clayton. Memphis is missing half its roster and he is logging minutes in a starting-caliber role. Toronto is favored by 13, which means Memphis has to push pace and score in volume to stay in the game - that's the ideal environment for a guard absorbing inflated usage at a minimum salary. His ownership is lighter than his production warrants, making him a true GPP differentiator at a price where he almost can't disappoint.

Cedric Coward, G, MEM vs TOR | $5,300

Coward slots in as the secondary Memphis play with both volume and salary-adjusted ceiling. The same injury-depleted context applies - Memphis needs every healthy player to carry the load, and Coward has posted consistent numbers in extended run. He can score in clusters and facilitates well enough to contribute across categories. Lower ownership than his production justifies in most GPP fields.

Daniel Gafford, C, DAL vs ORL | $5,300

With Lively gone for the season, Gafford is Dallas's starting center and primary rim-running option. He doesn't need a lot of touches to produce - put-backs, lobs, and dump-off finishes pile up quickly for a player of his athleticism. The highest-total game on the slate means more possessions for both teams, and Orlando's interior is not built to contain him below the rim. His ownership is lighter than the game environment warrants, making him a solid GPP center option without needing to pay up.

Cedric Coward/Jahmai Mashack/GG Jackson - MEM Stack

The Memphis stack is the most concentrated injury-upside cluster on the board. With the Grizzlies running a six-deep active rotation, two or three of these players will pile up heavy minutes trying to keep pace with Toronto. The game total and team need to push pace creates a ceiling that can pay off in tournaments even with modest individual scoring lines. Pick two from the group of Clayton, Coward, Mashack, GG Jackson, and Javon Small to build a contrarian MEM core.

Andre Drummond, C, PHI vs MIN | $4,400

Drummond is a salary-adjusted play that depends on Embiid's status - but even with Embiid doubtful rather than confirmed out, the role is elevated above what the salary reflects. Drummond against a Minnesota frontcourt missing Jaden McDaniels is a favorable matchup physically, and if Embiid is confirmed absent, Drummond becomes a near-lock for cash production at a price you normally see for backup big men. Monitor the status update and be ready to pivot builds if Embiid is officially ruled out.

Final Thoughts

The cash core for tonight builds through the two highest-total games. Karl-Anthony Towns and Paolo Banchero are the salary anchors of the slate - KAT in the NYK vs CHI matchup and Banchero in the highest-total game against a depleted Dallas. Pair either with Desmond Bane or Amen Thompson for a cash foundation that covers two of the best game environments on the board. At the mid-range, Mikal Bridges offers the safest production path at his salary, and Onyeka Okongwu is a reliable value at center given Landale's absence.

The biggest news before lock is the Philadelphia situation. Joel Embiid (illness, doubtful) and Anthony Edwards (knee/illness, questionable) are the two names that matter most for GPP construction. If Embiid is officially out before the 7:00 PM ET tip, Drummond and Bona both move into cash-play territory and should be in a high percentage of your lineups. Edwards missing would open up DiVincenzo and Conley for Minnesota, reshuffling that game entirely for tournament purposes. Set your alerts and check the 6:00 PM ET injury report.

For tournament lineups, the Memphis stack is the strongest contrarian angle on the slate. Walter Clayton has the highest value score of any player on the board, Cedric Coward offers genuine ceiling at $5,300, and the combination of injury-driven minutes and team need to push pace against a heavy favorite is a GPP recipe that can pay off in a big way. Stacking two or three MEM players in the same lineup is the kind of high-risk high-reward build that separates winning GPP tickets. Toronto is a heavy favorite and will likely win, but Memphis fighting to stay in a 13-point game means points for everyone in their rotation.

Indiana is the secondary injury-driven angle. Quenton Jackson and Kam Jones are absorbing real starters' run against Charlotte at salaries that are essentially minimum for the role. The IND vs CHA game total of 234.5 is competitive, and Charlotte's own injury situation keeps the game from becoming a runaway. A two-player IND backcourt stack with a high-total game anchor is a tournament build worth considering.
