Games to Target

1. Cleveland at Memphis | Total: 238 | CLE -13.5 | 8:00 PM ET

Cleveland rolls into Memphis missing its entire frontcourt - Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen both unavailable, joined by Sam Merrill, Jaylon Tyson, and Dean Wade. Memphis counters with a roster that reads more like an exit tryout than a regular-season lineup: Ja Morant, Zach Edey, Jaylen Wells, Ty Jerome, Santi Aldama, Brandon Clarke, Scotty Pippen Jr., and Caldwell-Pope are all out. The 13.5-point spread suggests Cleveland's healthier depth wins comfortably, but Vegas kept the total elite because both teams run up-tempo and rim protection is nonexistent on either side. Every back-of-the-rotation player who normally runs 15 minutes is looking at a starting-caliber workload tonight. The CLE/MEM game is an injury stack waiting to happen.

2. Philadelphia at San Antonio | Total: 236.5 | SAS -8.5 | 8:00 PM ET

San Antonio favored by 8.5 at home says plenty about where Philly stands this season, but for DFS this game has real upside baked in. Wembanyama vs. Embiid is the headliner - two centers who eat minutes and generate scoring opportunities on both ends, producing the kind of ceiling that separates winning GPP lineups from the field. Tyrese Maxey and Paul George are available and figure to put up numbers in a game where Philadelphia needs to score to stay close. An 8.5-point spread keeps garbage time a real possibility in the fourth, so prioritize players with consistent usage that holds up in blowout scripts.

3. New York at Atlanta | Total: 229.5 | ATL -1.5 | 7:00 PM ET

The most balanced game on the slate and the only one where both teams have a reason to compete hard through four quarters. Atlanta as a 1.5-point home favorite against New York is essentially a coin flip, which means full minutes for starters and no garbage time concerns. Jalen Johnson is Atlanta's best DFS asset in this matchup - usage and counting stats across the board with a ceiling that can win a tournament. The game environment is solid and the pace should stay active through the second half. A clean, lower-variance option compared to the CLE/MEM chaos.

Games to Fade: DET at ORL checks in at 225, the lowest total on the slate. Detroit is playing without Cade Cunningham and Isaiah Stewart, and Orlando's injury situation compresses the offense through Banchero and a thin supporting cast. There is DFS value here - Huerter and Duren get mentioned in the cash section for a reason - but game environment constraints cap the ceiling for most of the roster. Finish your CLE stacking first, then revisit DET/ORL if salary allows.

Injuries to Watch

OUT Tonight

Evan Mobley (CLE) - Out, Calf

Cleveland's best player and primary frontcourt anchor is unavailable. Without him, paint scoring and rebounding shift to fringe bigs who rarely see the floor. The bigger beneficiary is in the backcourt: Schroder, Porter, and Ellis all absorb more offensive responsibility. In a game at this total, the opportunity cost flows directly to the value tier.

Jarrett Allen (CLE) - Out, Knee

The second starting big unavailable for Cleveland. The Cavaliers are going to play small and rely on speed all night. The story is extended run for every wing and guard in the rotation.

Cade Cunningham (DET) - Out, Chest

Detroit's offense runs through Cunningham and without him, Daniss Jenkins and Kevin Huerter take on elevated playmaking responsibilities. Jalen Duren benefits too - he sees more paint touches when the team lacks a primary ball-handler who can create off the drive. Huerter and Duren are both legitimate DFS targets because of this absence.

Isaiah Stewart (DET) - Out, Calf

Compounds the DET frontcourt problem. Jalen Duren becomes the clear first option in the paint and will see heavy minutes throughout. His opportunity tonight is about as defined as any player on the slate.

Ja Morant + MEM Rotation - Multiple Outs

Morant, Edey, Wells, Clarke, Aldama, Pippen, Caldwell-Pope, and Ty Jerome are all unavailable. Memphis is running a developmental roster in a prime-time game against a team built around playoff aspirations. Every available MEM player sees a workload that doesn't reflect their salary or recent history.

ORL Injury Cluster - Howard (Ankle), Black (Abdomen), Isaac (Knee)

Three ORL outs concentrate the offense through Banchero and Jalen Suggs. Banchero's role is as large as it gets tonight, which explains the DFS interest despite the game environment concern.

QUESTIONABLE - Monitor Before Lock

GG Jackson II (MEM) - Questionable

The most important injury decision on the slate. If Jackson plays, he lands in a starting or near-starting role for a Memphis team with essentially no healthy rotation players, in an ELITE-total game against Cleveland. His salary does not account for what his usage would look like if confirmed active. Check this before locking any lineups - his ceiling if active is the best scenario available tonight.

Cam Spencer (MEM) - Questionable

Similar situation to Jackson. Another MEM player whose opportunity is outsized relative to salary if he's cleared. If Spencer sits, full pass; if he plays, he absorbs meaningful run in an ELITE game.

Cedric Coward (MEM) - Questionable

Coward's salary does not reflect the opportunity he would receive on this decimated roster. If active, he's a legitimate tournament play in this game environment. Monitor pregame.

Tobias Harris (DET) - Questionable, Knee

If Harris sits, additional wing minutes go toward Huerter and the other available DET perimeter players. His absence pushes Huerter's floor up another notch. A neutral situation for the DET cash plays overall.

Duncan Robinson (DET) - Questionable, Hip

Same dynamic as Harris. His absence benefits available DET wings. Not a significant swing for cash plays but worth monitoring for GPP builds.

Players to Target

Cash Game Plays

Dennis Schroder, PG, CLE vs MEM | $4,000

The most obvious cash play on the slate and the highest-owned player in the field tonight. Schroder is the minimum-salary PG running the show for a Cleveland team that just lost both starting bigs, in a game with an elite total against a depleted Memphis roster. His floor is one of the best available at any position, and his salary should be three times higher based on the opportunity. Near-universal cash anchor - get him in and build around him.

Keon Ellis, SF/PF, CLE vs MEM | $4,300

Another CLE injury beneficiary at a price that doesn't reflect his current role. Ellis runs with the starters, takes defensive assignments against MEM's best available wings, and collects counting stats across the board. Broadly owned tonight - the field has correctly identified the CLE value stack - and his floor in this game environment is dependable enough for cash.

Kevin Huerter, SG/SF, DET at ORL | $4,300

The Cunningham and Stewart absences push Huerter into a primary creation role on the DET wing. He's the most consistent offensive option available for Detroit tonight and his salary doesn't reflect a primary wing role on a team missing both its star and its starting center. Expected to be one of the more heavily rostered mid-range plays on the slate, which is exactly what you want in cash.

Jalen Duren, C, DET at ORL | $8,700

Stewart's absence is the key unlocking mechanism here. Duren sees expanded paint time, more post entries, and a larger share of DET's frontcourt production. His salary is firm but the opportunity is cleaner than the total suggests - he doesn't need the game environment to cooperate, just consistent touches. Moderately owned with a reliable floor, which makes him a reasonable cash spend-up at the center spot.

Craig Porter Jr., PG, CLE vs MEM | $3,400

The cheapest meaningful play on the slate. Porter gets real run for a Cleveland team that needs every available guard, in a game where pace and injury replacements create floor-raising upside for everyone in the rotation. Moderate projected ownership - not as chalk as Schroder but broadly recognized by the cash game field. His salary-to-opportunity ratio is among the best available tonight.

GPP Tournament Plays

Victor Wembanyama, C, SAS vs PHI | $11,500

The highest ceiling on the slate. Wembanyama at home against Philadelphia has everything a GPP top-salary play needs: full-game usage, scoring and shot-blocking on both ends, and projected ownership that's lighter than you'd expect for a player with this kind of upside in this game environment. If you want the highest ceiling on the board and the ability to separate from chalk-heavy CLE builds, Wembanyama is the premium pivot that wins tournaments.

Jalen Johnson, PF, ATL vs NYK | $10,500

The best salary-adjusted ceiling in a game with a tight spread and competitive minutes throughout. Johnson is Atlanta's primary frontcourt scorer and playmaker in a near-toss-up matchup, and his projected ownership is lighter than the situation warrants. He's not the chalk pick the field gravitates toward, which is exactly the tournament equity you want at this price. Pair him with the CLE value stack for a GPP lineup that doesn't match the field.

Joel Embiid, C, PHI at SAS | $9,500

The contrarian build against Wembanyama in the same game. Embiid's projected ownership is lighter than his salary and ceiling suggest, which creates genuine tournament leverage if the Sixers keep this game competitive. Being on the opposite side of Wembanyama ownership in a 236.5-total game is legitimate differentiation, and his ceiling in a back-and-forth matchup is real.

Paolo Banchero, PF, ORL vs DET | $8,900

With ORL missing Black, Howard, and Isaac, Banchero is the entire offensive plan for Orlando. Detroit without Cunningham and Stewart leaves paint protection thin, and Banchero can exploit that mismatch at will. His projected ownership is lighter than the other stars on the slate - the game environment keeps casual players away - which makes him one of the cleaner tournament pivots if you want salary flexibility elsewhere. The ceiling here is legitimate in a game where a depleted DET roster could turn into a Banchero showcase.

GG Jackson II, PF, MEM vs CLE | $5,800

Active status required. If Jackson is cleared, his usage on a historically depleted MEM roster in an ELITE-total game against Cleveland creates one of the best value-ceiling combinations on the slate. The salary is a fraction of what a player in his role would normally cost. If he's confirmed active before lock, he belongs in every GPP lineup you're building tonight. If he's ruled out, move on.

Cedric Coward, SF, MEM vs CLE | $5,600

The secondary MEM questionable worth targeting. If active, Coward gets starting-level minutes in the best game environment on the slate at a salary well below his opportunity value. He's the most contrarian way to access the CLE/MEM game - lighter projected ownership than the obvious CLE plays, with real ceiling if the usage materializes. Confirm active status before lock.

Final Thoughts

The cash game formula tonight is straightforward: Schroder at the minimum and Ellis/Porter as cheap secondaries give you floor-raising upside in the best game environment on the slate. Huerter covers the DET injury angle and Duren adds a reliable big man floor. You don't need to be clever with cash tonight - the injury report told you exactly where to look.

The MEM situation bears repeating because it's genuinely extreme. This is not a 'Morant is out, next man up' scenario. Morant, Edey, Wells, Clarke, Aldama, Pippen, Caldwell-Pope, and Jerome are all unavailable, and three more players are questionable. Memphis is throwing out a developmental roster in an ELITE-total game. The players who do dress absorb usage that would normally be distributed across eight to ten rotation pieces. Every GPP lineup tonight should have at least partial exposure to the resulting opportunities.

For tournament pivots at the premium salary tier, Wembanyama is the best play on the board if you want the highest ceiling without riding the chalk. His projected ownership at $11,500 in a 236.5-total game is lighter than it should be, and the ceiling gap between him and the rest of the field is real. If you're playing for first place rather than min-cash, he's worth the spend.

Check the MEM questionables one more time before you lock lineups. GG Jackson specifically - if he's active, he's not just a tournament play. He might be the single highest-ceiling value on the slate tonight. The injuries have set up a scenario where a $5,800 player could legitimately lead all scorers in a game with a 238 total. Monitor until lock.
