Weather to Watch

Arizona Diamondbacks vs Colorado Rockies | Chase Field | Dome, 72F | Wind: None

The slate's offensive engine plays under a roof. With Chase closed, the 109 HR park factor for righties does the heavy lifting and Zach Agnos is the matchup that puts a 6.16 implied total in front of Arizona. No weather effect either way, just a controlled environment for an offense to do work.

New York Yankees vs Toronto Blue Jays | Yankee Stadium | Light Drizzle, 60F | Wind: 1.8 mph SSW

The wind is dead at the Bronx and the temperature works against fly balls a touch. Yankee Stadium still grades out as a 118 park for lefties, so Ben Rice and Cody Bellinger keep the short porch even with the cool air. Drizzle is a watch item but the precip chance sits at 13 percent, no real lineup decision tied to it.

Atlanta Braves at Miami Marlins | loanDepot park | Dome, 72F | Wind: None

Another dome, another neutral run environment. loanDepot grades out as a 77 park for lefties and 82 for righties, so the Atlanta stack has to earn it on Alcantara's stuff, not on park lift.

Athletics at Los Angeles Angels | Angel Stadium | Clear, 72F | Wind: 8 mph SW

A small wind helper at Angel Stadium with the breeze running cross to slight left-center. Park factor is 108 for righties and 90 for lefties. Plus 3 to 4 percent on the HR side. Not a game-changer but enough to keep the LAA and ATH right-handed bats in play at full price.

HR Calls

Corbin Carroll (ARI) $5,400 vs Zach Agnos

The model's loudest call of the night and the chalk lead-off bat on the slate. Carroll is sitting on a .289 ISO with a 14.5 percent barrel rate over 121 PA, and Agnos walks in with a 5.59 ERA, a 4.71 xFIP, and a 1.45 HR/9 across 29 innings. Carroll bats from the left side against a righty and Agnos's split is closer to even, but the implied total of 6.16 and the indoor Chase environment matter more than the platoon nuance here. Pay up.

Ketel Marte (ARI) $4,800 vs Zach Agnos

The price tag is the story. Marte is the leadoff bat in a 6.16 implied lineup at $4,800 with a .205 ISO and 10.3 percent barrel rate. He bats from the left side against Agnos as a switch hitter, which is Agnos's better split, but the price still prints. Agnos is below replacement-level by xFIP and Marte gets the most plate appearances of anyone in the stack. Cash core for me.

Nick Kurtz (ATH) $5,500 vs José Soriano

The leverage HR call. Soriano's vs-LHH split is the loud one: a 19 percent HR/FB and a 1.30 HR/9 across 27.2 innings. Kurtz brings a .268 ISO and a 16.8 percent barrel rate at the top of the Athletics order, in a park that runs 90 for lefties but a 17.2 percent HR/FB matchup overrides the park haircut. He projects as a sub-5 percent owned bat because Soriano's overall 2.43 ERA scares people off. That is the trade you want.

Stacks to Target

1. Arizona Diamondbacks vs Zach Agnos (R) | Implied Total: 6.16 | Chase Field

The clear top stack call on a small slate. Agnos has a 5.59 ERA, a 4.71 xFIP, and a 12 percent K rate. His vs-RHH split is the destruction zone: a 7.36 ERA, a 6.02 xFIP, a .508 SLG, and a .387 wOBA. ARI's right-handed bats Nolan Arenado, Lourdes Gurriel, and Gabriel Moreno are the platoon edges, while Marte and Carroll get the plate appearance volume at the top. Chase Field plays 109 for righties under the roof, no weather risk.

Core pieces: Ketel Marte (Switch, 1 hole), Corbin Carroll (LHH, 2 hole), Geraldo Perdomo (Switch, 3 hole), Nolan Arenado (RHH, 4 hole), Lourdes Gurriel (RHH, 6 hole).

2. New York Yankees vs Braydon Fisher (R) | Implied Total: 4.84 | Yankee Stadium

Fisher is the cheap arm on the board at $4,000 and Toronto is gambling that his 3.10 ERA covers a 3.88 xFIP and a 3.65 SIERA. His vs-RHH split is the watch item: a 1.08 HR/9 and an 18.2 percent HR/FB rate at home games this year, which sets up Aaron Judge directly. He works just 3.6 projected innings tonight, so the path to the Toronto bullpen opens early, and that pen has run a 4.50-plus mark on the road. Yankee Stadium 118 for lefties keeps Ben Rice and Cody Bellinger in play with the short porch even on a cool, damp night.

Core pieces: Trent Grisham (LHH, 1 hole), Ben Rice (LHH, 2 hole), Aaron Judge (RHH, 3 hole), Cody Bellinger (LHH, 4 hole), Jazz Chisholm (LHH, 5 hole).

3. Los Angeles Angels vs Luis Severino (R) | Implied Total: 4.00 | Angel Stadium

The GPP leverage stack. Severino runs a 4.48 ERA, a 1.59 WHIP, and a 1.16 HR/9 across 54.2 innings. His vs-RHH numbers are the soft spot: a 5.35 FIP, a 1.52 HR/9, and a 17.4 percent HR/FB. LAA's right-handed bats Mike Trout, Jorge Soler, Jo Adell, and Zach Neto are the targets, with the cross-breeze adding 3 to 4 percent on the HR side at a 108 park. Owners will gravitate to the ATH side of this game because Severino's price tag is $6,500, so the LAA stack runs lower in ownership in tournaments.

Core pieces: Vaughn Grissom (RHH, 1 hole), Mike Trout (RHH, 2 hole), Jorge Soler (RHH, 4 hole), Jo Adell (RHH, 5 hole), Zach Neto (RHH, 6 hole).

Pitchers

The slate gives you a true ace at $10K, a sneaky cash play at $7,700, and a value tier in the $6,500 to $8,200 range. With only four games, lineup construction is tight and pitcher selection drives variance more than usual.

Spencer Strider (ATL) at MIA | $10,000 | CASH

The top salary and the cleanest cash arm. Strider runs a 31 percent K rate, a 13.7 percent swstr, and a 2.54 ERA across his return innings this year. The walk rate of 17.2 percent is a real flag and the sample is just 14.2 innings, but the venue is the loanDepot dome at 77 for lefties, and Miami's lineup is a bottom-third offense at a 3.29 implied total. The projected 5.3 IP and 5.9 K line is the floor of a viable cash arm.

Carlos Rodón (NYY) vs TOR | $7,700 | CASH or GPP

The pricing edge of the slate. Rodón is back from the IL with a tiny eight-inning sample, but the projection engine still loves the matchup against a Toronto lineup that lines up six right-handed bats. His career split vs RHH sits in the .240s wOBA range and his park lift at Yankee Stadium under cool air keeps the HR risk down. At $7,700 he gives you the highest projected fantasy total on the slate at 18.4 fpts. Cash if you trust the volume, GPP if you want a cheaper ace alternative to Strider.

José Soriano (LAA) vs ATH | $9,500 | CASH

The other true ace tier arm. Soriano carries a 2.43 ERA, a 28 percent K rate, and a 0.76 HR/9 across 59.2 innings. The caveat lives in the regression section because his .236 BABIP and 84.5 percent LOB rate paper over a 3.30 xFIP, but for tonight he still projects as the second-highest pitcher on the board at 16.4 fpts and gets a bottom-of-the-league ATH lineup in a 4.0 implied total spot.

Eduardo Rodriguez (ARI) vs COL | $7,500 | CASH or GPP

The Coors lineup road version on the road in a dome. Rodriguez runs a 2.54 ERA and a 6.1 projected IP at home in Chase against a Colorado lineup that ranks 28th in road wOBA over the last 30 days. The xFIP of 4.36 is the only real flag but it does not matter much against this lineup. Solid CASH save if you fade Strider.

Luis Severino (ATH) at LAA | $6,500 | GPP

The leverage punt path. Severino's overall line is rough at 4.48 ERA and 1.59 WHIP, but he projects 15.1 fpts because the Angels offense ranks 23rd in wOBA versus right-handed pitching over the last 30 days and the model expects 6.1 IP and 5.3 K. The HR risk is real with Angel Stadium at 108 for righties, so this is a tournament-only path.

Pitcher Regression to Watch

The sample is past 50 innings for every starter on the slate that has a full season of work, so the peripherals carry real weight now.

José Soriano (LAA) vs ATH: Negative Regression Candidate

Soriano's 2.43 ERA is a buy-low story on the surface but the peripherals tell a different one. His BABIP sits at .236 and his strand rate is at 84.5 percent across 59.2 innings, both well above the league baseline. The xFIP of 3.30 says he is still a quality arm, but the gap between 2.43 ERA and 3.30 xFIP is a full run that catches up over time. ATH is the opposing team and is a leverage stack tonight at a 4.0 implied total. The Soriano vs-LHH HR rate at 19 percent is the specific opening for the Nick Kurtz play.

Sandy Alcantara (MIA) vs ATL: Negative Regression Candidate

Alcantara is the more straightforward case. His 3.56 ERA pairs with a 4.16 xFIP and a 4.40 SIERA, his K rate of 16.9 percent is well below league average, and his 5.97 percent HR/FB is light by recent norms. The opposing team is Atlanta and they have the strongest power profile against right-handed pitching of any lineup on this slate. The ATL stack at a 4.21 implied total against Alcantara is the regression play in plain sight, with Matt Olson the lefty platoon edge if the HR luck normalizes from this year's 5.97 percent rate.

Final Thoughts

The cash game foundation tonight is the Strider plus Rodón combo if you want max ceiling at the top, or a Soriano plus Rodón build if you want to save salary for the ARI bat tier. The single best stack is Arizona without question, and the cleanest way to play it is a five-bat stack with Marte and Carroll at the top plus one of Arenado, Gurriel, or Moreno on the right side against Agnos.

For GPP, the leverage path is the LAA stack against Severino at lower ownership than the ATH side, plus a one-off correlated piece from the Yankees lineup to complete the build. The Kurtz HR call on the ATH side of the same game is the pure leverage entry point if you want a different stack lane than the field.

Pre-lock items to monitor: the Aaron Judge weather note since light drizzle can shave HR carry, the Carlos Rodón pitch count update since he just came off the IL, and the Athletics lineup since Kurtz and Langeliers sometimes flip in the top three based on the opposing arm. Build around the ARI stack and a true ace, pivot at the margins, and let the small-slate variance work for you in tournaments.
