The Game

The week ends indoors at SoFi Stadium, with Los Angeles laying 6.5 to the Giants underneath a 46.75-point total that splits into team totals of 26.6 and 20.1. The two sides arrive off opposite results, with New York beating Dallas 28-20 behind 23-of-29 passing for 230 yards and three touchdowns from Jaxson Dart, while the Rams were handled 27-7 in San Francisco on a 155-yard afternoon from Matthew Stafford. Los Angeles ranks among the seven offenses least willing to abandon the pass while protecting a lead and New York sits 26th on that same measure, which matters on a board where the favorite is six points clear.

Two spots on this field separate from everything else. Rams receivers drawing this Giants secondary grades out as the largest mismatch anywhere here, Giants quarterback against the Los Angeles defense follows close behind, and nothing else on the slate comes within seventeen rating points of either. Only three defenses surrendered more DraftKings scoring to running backs than New York last season, and only eight allowed fewer to tight ends, which supports the Los Angeles backfield and complicates a Giants tight end coming off a two-touchdown opener. On the ground, the Rams' interior held opponents to 3.38 YPC last season, and that is the lane New York used 110 times for 3.80.

Half this board pays at once if Los Angeles scores twice before the break, New York abandons the run, and Dart gets to 35 attempts. What strangles it is a 20-13 Rams win where Kyren Williams closes out the fourth quarter and the optimal CPT turns out to be a kicker or a defense almost nobody rostered.

Los Angeles Rams

Puka Nacua ($11,400) commanded a 33.3% target share and 45.1% Air Yards share in the opener, turning nine looks into five catches for 74 yards, and 9.2 targets project Monday night against a 6.5-reception line. He carries the widest ceiling on this board and would be the slate's best price-adjusted CPT at full health, but he is questionable with a hip and the reporting has trended the wrong way since Saturday, so nothing here settles before the 6:45 PM ET inactives. The Rams have played seven games without Nacua over the last two seasons and the volume has funneled to the tight ends and the third receiver rather than the backfield, with Colby Parkinson climbing from 3.1 targets per game to 4.7 across a 23-game and 7-game split, Tutu Atwell from 2.1 to 7.0, and Kyren Williams holding flat at 2.5 against 2.8. The full splits are on our NFL WOWY tool. Atwell was a healthy inactive in Week 1, so that share is unclaimed.

Davante Adams ($8,800) claimed a 22.2% target share and 28.6% Air Yards share on six targets in San Francisco, projects for six again, and carries the slate's second-best receiving touchdown expectation behind Nacua. He blanks more often than anything else above $8,000 on this slate, which keeps him in large-field lineups while Nacua is active and makes him a cash-game lock the moment Nacua is ruled out, inheriting the alpha role in a 26.6-point offense at a tag that will not move before lock. Konata Mumpfield ($1,000) is the only cheap Rams receiver who dressed in Week 1 and becomes genuine salary relief in that same scenario.

Terrance Ferguson ($1,800) leads the Rams tight end room at 2.3 projected targets, with Colby Parkinson ($3,600) right behind at 2.2 and Tyler Higbee ($2,800) at 1.4, a four-way split that produced almost nothing last week. Los Angeles used multiple tight ends on 41.0% of its snaps last season and this is the room that absorbs work if Nacua sits, which makes Ferguson the best price-adjusted option of the three and Parkinson the one with the cleanest historical case. Max Klare ($200) was a healthy inactive in Week 1 and is off the board until that changes.

Kyren Williams ($9,600) handled 11 carries for 41 yards and a touchdown while catching all three of his targets, and he projects for 13.4 carries and 2.4 targets against a 64.5 rushing yards line, facing a front that finished bottom-four in scoring allowed to the position last season. The football case is strong and the pricing is not, since no name on this board is captained further above the rate at which it actually wins the game, so my exposure runs through FLEX with a deliberate underweight up top. Blake Corum ($4,600) carries a 48.5 rushing yards line sitting just 16 yards beneath the starter's and is the better tournament pivot of the two, with Ronnie Rivers ($1,400) third at 1.9 projected carries.

Harrison Mevis ($5,000) is posted at 7.5 kicking points to Dominic Zvada's 5.5, the widest gap between the two legs on this board, and nothing above $1,000 here goes quiet as rarely as he does. He is among the slate's best price-adjusted values and the piece that makes a second premium tag affordable. The Rams D/ST ($4,200) grades out ahead of the Giants unit and offers the cheapest real CPT leverage on the board, since New York has to keep throwing once this tilts.

Matthew Stafford ($10,000) threw for 155 yards with an interception in a game his offense never found, and the market has already moved past it, posting him at 242.5 passing yards with a touchdown number priced heavily toward two. He projects for 28.3 attempts, owns the steadiest floor of any skill-position option here, and wins this scoring title at a rate the room will never match in the top slot, the largest such disconnect among real captains here. At $15,000 in the top slot he sits $2,100 beneath Nacua and buys a better roster underneath, which lands him on all of my cash rosters and doubles as my separation piece once the pool grows.

New York Giants

Malik Nabers ($9,000) turned nine targets into six catches for 69 yards while claiming a 31.0% target share and 42.0% Air Yards share, and 8.1 targets project against a 5.5-reception line. He averaged 7.88 YPT working against zone in 2025 and 6.38 against man, and Los Angeles sat in zone on 84.2% of its defensive snaps that season, though both are 2025 numbers, so I lean on that rather than bet it. The opponent-adjusted numbers come out flat on this matchup, which is the fair case against him, though a 31% target share holds up for an offense that figures to be playing from behind, and I have him firmly in play for both formats.

Malachi Fields ($5,600) drew four targets for a 29.0% Air Yards share and projects for 3.6, making him the one Giant outside the top three who can win this contest on a single throw, though no pass catcher above $5,000 goes quiet as often, which confines him to large-field rosters. Darnell Mooney ($3,800) arrived as part of the class replacing Wan'Dale Robinson's 140 vacated targets and projects for 2.1, a thinner role than the tag assumes.

Isaiah Likely ($7,400) posted the best line anybody brings into this game, catching all eight of his targets for 78 yards and two touchdowns on a 27.6% share, and 6.6 targets project Monday night. The matchup is the argument against him, since Los Angeles held tight ends below all but eight defenses last season and the ratings grade Giants tight end against this Rams unit the tightest positional spot on the whole field. A target number like that at a tight end price keeps him in play regardless, and he is the bring-back I want in Rams-leaning builds. Theo Johnson ($2,400) follows at 2.1 projected targets.

Cam Skattebo ($9,400) took 18 carries for 81 yards and a score without seeing a single target, and 16.7 carries and 2.6 targets project into the worst lane on the field, since he works between the tackles where the Rams held opponents to 3.38 YPC while ranking 21st in DraftKings scoring allowed to the position. A back with fewer than three targets on the lower team total needs the end zone at this price, so I will take him in large-field lineups and nowhere else. Devin Singletary ($3,000) is the better price-adjusted option after turning six carries into 16 yards and catching all four of his targets for 22 and a score, with Tyrone Tracy Jr. ($3,400) at four projected carries and Najee Harris ($2,000) still yet to dress for New York.

Dominic Zvada ($4,800) saves only $200 on a kicking points line two full points lighter, which makes him a large-field pivot on a Giants comeback rather than a starting point. New York D/ST at $3,200 undercuts the Los Angeles unit and still wins this scoring title well ahead of the rate anyone captains it.

Jaxson Dart ($9,800) completed 23 of 29 for 230 yards and three touchdowns without an interception and added 11 carries for 54 yards, and that rushing floor separates him from every other quarterback tag I have written up this month. He projects for 29.8 attempts and 6.9 carries against a 250-yard passing line and a 31.5 rushing yards number, sits behind only the Rams receiving corps in opponent-adjusted terms, and tops this scoreboard at a higher rate than any other name. The field knows it, since he is also the most popular CPT on the board, so the leverage is real but narrow. He belongs on all of my safe rosters, and captaining him is the obvious answer rather than the sharp one.

The Captain's Chair

Jaxson Dart occupies the top slot whenever I am submitting one lineup, because a quarterback with 11 carries behind him can win this scoring title without a receiver helping. Everyone else has noticed, which makes this the correct build rather than the separating one, and $14,700 up there still leaves Nacua and Stafford underneath.

Matthew Stafford takes over once the pool gets large, carrying the widest split on this slate between how often he tops the scoreboard and how often the room puts him up top, at a $15,000 tag that undercuts Nacua and still affords a Rams pass catcher plus a Giants bring-back. Puka Nacua makes the same case at a steeper number and only enters the conversation if the hip clears.

The Rams D/ST is my route to sitting by myself. Captain ownership on it will round to nothing while it wins this game several times as often, and $6,300 at the top leaves four legitimate tags underneath.

The first-place archive says two things that bear on a two-team pool. Non-quarterback skill players took the top slot on two of every three winners and a kicker or defense took it on one in ten, which is the cover for Nacua at $17,100 or the Rams unit at $6,300. Quarterbacks appeared on 93% of those rosters and both quarterbacks on 48%, putting Dart and Stafford together more often than apart.

Stack Ideas

The first four assume Nacua plays. The last is where I move if he does not.

CPT Jaxson Dart, Puka Nacua, Matthew Stafford, Isaiah Likely, Harrison Mevis, Konata Mumpfield.

My first entry, both quarterbacks beneath the two widest edges in the game.

CPT Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua, Kyren Williams, Isaiah Likely, Harrison Mevis, Konata Mumpfield.

Los Angeles controls it without shutting off the pass, and Likely is the bring-back whose targets survive a two-score loss.

CPT Puka Nacua, Jaxson Dart, Malik Nabers, Isaiah Likely, Harrison Mevis, Konata Mumpfield.

The track meet, betting New York trades scores rather than chasing them.

CPT Rams D/ST, Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua, Kyren Williams, Davante Adams, Devin Singletary.

The card nobody else turns in, needing the Los Angeles front to end two Dart drives.

CPT Davante Adams, Matthew Stafford, Jaxson Dart, Isaiah Likely, Colby Parkinson, Harrison Mevis.

The Nacua scratch build, with the tight end this offense feeds in his absence.

Model Recommended Bets

Our numbers land on Los Angeles 27.0, New York 14.8, a 41.8-point game that undercuts the posted number by close to six, and two markets clear our threshold.

Under 47.5 (-104) is the one I want. The under cashes 67.2% of our simulations against a fair market figure of 51.1%, a 16.1-point disagreement that traces back to the ratings above, with New York asked to generate offense against the only unit here rated well clear of it and Kyren Williams available to bleed out a fourth quarter. The stake is a small fraction of a unit, which is the honest tell on a number sitting that far from the board.

Los Angeles moneyline is the thinner of the two, with the Rams taking it outright in 80.0% of our runs against a fair 71.7%, an 8.3-point gap that mostly argues the board overpaid a road team for one 28-point evening.

Long Shot Touchdown Bets

Jaxson Dart at +250 is the best price on this board. He ran 11 times for 54 yards in the opener, projects for 6.9 carries against a 31.5 rushing yards line, and takes the sneaks, so we have him at 25.9% against a fair figure near 18.3%. Two books carry him and sit far apart, so shopping matters.

Only two long prices here are worth naming. Devin Singletary at +500 is the one publishable number where our side clears the fair figure, 11.9% against 10.7%, on the strength of the receiving score he already has. Ronnie Rivers at +1800 shows a 1.8-point edge against a fair 4.4%, which is worth shopping and not worth firing, since a lone book carries him and no shop in this matchup posts a NO on an anytime touchdown, inflating every fair figure out at the long end. Volume in September still leans on preseason seeding, so treat each level as approximate.

In the opposite direction, Matthew Stafford at +2000 is the lone name the books rate above us, 3.0% to our 1.7%, off 0.02 projected rushing scores. The cheap Rams receivers at +750 would round out that trade, except Atwell and CJ Daniels both sat as healthy inactives in Week 1, which makes those prices untouchable until the actives drop.

Final Thoughts

One bullet and I am submitting the plain build with Dart captained, because 230 through the air and 54 on the ground against a real defense is the widest distribution a two-team pool offers, and $14,700 at the top still leaves Nacua and Stafford behind him.

Everything else waits on the 6:45 PM ET inactives. If Nacua sits, Adams becomes the top name on my board and Parkinson and Ferguson enter cash-game range, while Kyren Williams does not move at all, since those seven Rams games without him pushed the work to tight ends and the third receiver instead.

Once the pool grows I separate with Stafford captained and New York brought back through Likely, because Dart, Nacua and Kyren Williams are going to divide the top slot among themselves, and a quarterback the room wrote off after 155 yards costs the least of any route out of that pile.
