Full ranked board, updated all week: NFL injury report for DFS

Pass Rush Matchup

Jordan Love should have time to throw tonight. Carolina's rush ranks 31st in our DL ranks and loses Jaelan Phillips (hamstring), who had 10 pressures and 2.5 sacks before he got hurt. Green Bay is down two linemen, tackle Travis Glover (knee) and center Sean Rhyan (ankle), and the line still ranks 13th. The Packers allow a sack on just 4.9% of dropbacks, and Princely Umanmielen, with three sacks, is the one Panther I'd worry about. A safe floor for Love, then, and a thin night for the Carolina D/ST ($3,600).

When Carolina has the ball, it's closer to even. Green Bay's front ranks 23rd and Carolina's line ranks 27th, with guard Damien Lewis out with a knee injury. Lukas Van Ness leads the Packers with 13 pressures and 3.5 sacks, and Panthers quarterbacks have been under pressure on 30.4% of dropbacks, so I like the Green Bay D/ST ($4,000) whenever a build has Bryce Young throwing a lot. Both rows are on the NFL OL vs DL matchups page.

Run Game Matchup

Neither run game has an edge. Chuba Hubbard ($9,000) runs behind a Carolina line that ranks sixth in our run blocking ranks into a Green Bay run defense ranked 12th, and Panthers backs average 4.26 yards a carry against 4.01 allowed by the Packers. Josh Jacobs ($8,800) has it worse on paper, with the Green Bay line 31st in run blocking and Packers backs at 3.12 yards a carry, but the Carolina run defense also ranks 31st and gives up 5.21 a carry to backs.

The Game

Lambeau Field is open air, and tonight looks dry, high 40s, with a 6 mph wind and gusts near 20. Weather doesn't change anything for me. The Packers lay 3.5 at home with a total of 47.5, which puts them near 25 points and the Panthers near 22. I'd expect about 125 plays, roughly three more than a normal game, and Carolina is the reason: the Panthers run the second quickest offense in the league in neutral script, while Green Bay ranks 22nd on the NFL pace of play board.

Both teams throw more than the situation calls for. Carolina is second on the NFL pass rate over expectation board at 4.2 points above expected, Green Bay is third at 3.6, and the same quarterbacks have started every game for both teams. Running backs have scored 30.23 DK points a game against Carolina through six games, second most in the league. Green Bay has given up 36.3 per game to receivers through seven, 10th most, but only 9.0 to tight ends, second fewest. Our unit ratings make the Carolina receivers against the Green Bay pass defense the biggest gap on the field.

For this slate to explode, Young needs to throw 40 times to Tetairoa McMillan and Jalen Coker at a fast pace while Love answers through Christian Watson from a clean pocket. The dull version has Carolina feeding Hubbard through a long, slow first half, Green Bay settling for Trey Smack field goals, and nobody but the kickers reaching double digits.

Carolina Panthers

McMillan ($9,400) torched Detroit in Week 4, 14 grabs on 16 targets for 192 yards and two scores. Since the bye he's gone 6-86 on nine looks against Philadelphia and 4-40 on six in last week's 43-13 loss to Tampa Bay. I'd put him around nine targets tonight, roughly a quarter of what Young throws, with props at 5.5 receptions and 71.5 yards. Most of his outcomes sit in a normal range, but the top end runs a long way. Only Love tops the game's scoring more often, and the field won't captain McMillan at that rate, which makes him my single-entry CPT.

Coker ($7,800) saw 13 looks in Week 6, turning them into 97 yards, then saw only four against the Bucs. Seven targets feels right, with his yardage prop at 62.5. Green Bay played zone on 72.1% of its snaps last season, and Coker averaged 10.72 yards per target against man in 2025 and 8.43 against zone, so the coverage cuts a little against him. I still like him as the cheaper way into this passing game, and his CPT price of $11,700 is the most interesting captain on the board. John Metchie III ($3,400) has seen between three and five looks in every game since Week 4 and is a cheap FLEX with a real role.

Darren Waller ($5,400) caught a 50-yard touchdown last week on one of his two targets, and that's about all the volume he's had lately, with three or four looks the fair guess. Tommy Tremble ($2,600) is the better price. He went 4-for-4 in Week 6 for 46 yards and two scores, and Carolina ran 11 personnel on just 54.9% of its 2025 snaps, which keeps two tight ends on the field. Mitchell Evans ($1,600) went 2-for-2 for 39 yards last week, a dart throw at that price.

Hubbard ($9,000) ran 20 times for 122 yards and two scores against Detroit and 28 times for 120 and a score against Philadelphia. The Tampa Bay blowout cut him to seven carries, though he still caught four passes. I have him for about 16 carries and three targets, right around his 16.5-carry prop and 67.5 rushing yards. Off left end was where Carolina ran best last season, 5.5 yards a carry, and that was Green Bay's softest spot at 5.11 allowed. He's a strong FLEX. At CPT the field will take him more often than he wins the night, so I'm light on him there. Trevor Etienne ($3,200) ran six times for eight yards last week and is filler.

Ryan Fitzgerald ($4,800) is priced for a 6.5 kicking points line, one under Smack, and I'd use him only in builds where Carolina drives and settles. I'd skip the Carolina D/ST against this Green Bay line.

Young ($9,600) threw for 329 yards and two touchdowns on 41 attempts against Detroit and 281 with two more against Philadelphia, then had a 14-of-27 night with two picks in Tampa. Around 36 attempts is my number, against a 253.5-yard prop. For cash games I want him in a FLEX spot, and his chance to win this game sits further above his CPT popularity than anyone else's on the slate.

Green Bay Packers

Watson ($9,800) has drawn eight targets in each of the last three games, with a 6-143-2 line against Chicago in Week 5 and 5-57 at Detroit last week. He's had 425 air yards over that stretch and turned 264 into receiving yards, so there's more in the role than the box scores show. I'd guess seven targets, more if Golden sits, and his yardage prop of 72.5 is the highest on either team. He's a solid FLEX and a fair large-field CPT.

Savion Williams ($4,400) went 3-for-3 for 47 yards last week, and Bo Melton ($1,000) caught a single ball on two looks. Melton is the cheapest Packer with a real job and fits builds that pay up at the top.

Tucker Kraft ($7,400) had four grabs for 48 yards and a touchdown at Detroit after eight looks against Dallas. Five or six targets is my number, against a 46.5-yard prop. Tight ends average 13.3 DK points against Carolina, about league average, and at $7,400 I'd rather pay up for Watson. Green Bay put two or more tight ends out on 32.6% of its 2025 snaps, so Jonnu Smith ($1,200) and Mark Redman ($200) both see the field, though neither has topped two targets in a game lately.

Jacobs ($8,800) played his first game of the season last week, and the running looked like a man easing into a cold pool, 11 carries for 36 yards. He caught five of seven targets for 55 yards and a score, though, which is the part I care about. Books want 14.5 carries and 58.5 yards from him, and I'm close to that with two or three targets. Facing the second most generous defense against backs helps, but the field likes him at CPT more than his range does. MarShawn Lloyd ($3,800) ran six times for 20 yards last week behind Jacobs and needs a touchdown to pay off.

Smack ($5,000) is priced for a 7.5 kicking points line, one above Fitzgerald, and kicks for the favorite. He's my kicker in builds where Green Bay drives and stalls. Of the two defenses, the Green Bay D/ST ($4,000) gets the better pass rush matchup.

Matthew Golden's shoulder

Golden ($8,400) is questionable with a shoulder injury, and the report doesn't lean either way. Inactives drop 90 minutes before the 8:15 PM ET kickoff. He's been the busiest Packer receiver lately, with 12 targets at Detroit and 13 against Dallas, and 477 air yards over the last three games. Sportsbooks have him lined at 4.5 receptions and 59.5 yards, so they expect him to suit up.

He missed three games as a rookie in 2025. Without him, Watson averaged 7.0 targets (n=3) against 6.4 with him (n=14), and Melton went from 0.9 (n=18) to 3.0 (n=2). Jacobs went from 3.1 targets with him (n=14) to 3.5 without (n=2), so the backs gained almost nothing. Dontayvion Wicks, the receiver who took most of his work last season, isn't on this roster anymore, and Kraft didn't play in any of those three games. With samples that small, I treat the split as a lean. The full splits are on the NFL WOWY tool.

If Golden plays, he's a big-field FLEX for me and stays out of my single-entry build. If he sits, Watson becomes the top Packer receiver, Kraft gets a few more looks and Melton picks up targets at $1,000.

Love ($10,000) completed 27 of 45 passes for 274 yards and two touchdowns at Detroit, and he threw for 367 yards on 31 attempts against Chicago in Week 5. Around 35 attempts against one of the league's weakest pass rushes looks right, and he's topped his 262.5-yard prop in three of the last four games. He's my top cash-game FLEX. The field will put him at CPT more than anyone else, which is fair for his range but leaves little room to gain.

Tetairoa McMillanOverall$9,400About a quarter of the Carolina targets, and a 192-yard game already this season.

Trey SmackValue$5,000The higher kicking points line, for the favorite.
Jalen CokerLeverage$7,800Thirteen targets two weeks ago, and he needs only one deep catch to pay off a $11,700 CPT price.
Christian WatsonLeverage$9,800Eight targets in each of the last three games, with more coming if Golden sits.
Bo MeltonDart Throw$1,000The cheapest Packer receiver with a job, and his role grows without Golden.

The Captain's Chair

My single-entry CPT is McMillan at $14,100. Love is the only player who leads this game in scoring more often, and the field will start fewer lineups with him than that rate deserves. He also ties me to the faster offense.

In large fields my CPT is Young at $14,400. The field will build around Love at CPT, while Young costs $600 less and shows the biggest split on this slate between his chance to win the night and his CPT popularity. The CPT I'd be alone on is Coker at $11,700. He doesn't have McMillan's floor, but a 13-target game two weeks ago shows the role can spike, and few lineups will start there. I'm light on Hubbard and Jacobs at CPT, since both draw more CPT entries than their chances of winning the night support. The extra plays tilt this game toward the passers and receivers anyway.

The 163 winning showdown lineups in our records have three things to say about tonight. Of those winners, 67% started a running back, receiver or tight end at CPT, which matches Builds 1, 3, 4 and 5. Nearly every winner (93%) had a quarterback somewhere and 48% had both. Every build here has one, and four pair Love with Young, since a 125-play game supports two passers. And 61% carried a kicker or a defense. All five of mine do, because both kickers have clear paths to points in a game the books see as close.

Stack Ideas

BuildCPTFLEXSalaryGame Script
1Tetairoa McMillanBryce Young, Chuba Hubbard, Jalen Coker, Trey Smack, GB DST$49,500Single-entry pick: Carolina scores through McMillan and Hubbard in a close game, while Green Bay drives stall into Smack field goals and Van Ness gets to Young.
2Bryce YoungJordan Love, Tetairoa McMillan, Chuba Hubbard, GB DST, Tommy Tremble$49,400A shootout where Young throws 40 times to McMillan and Tremble and Love keeps pace.
3Christian WatsonJordan Love, Bryce Young, Tetairoa McMillan, Trey Smack, Bo Melton$49,700Love has all night against a thin Carolina rush and finds Watson deep, with Melton taking extra snaps if Golden sits.
4Jalen CokerJordan Love, Bryce Young, Josh Jacobs, Ryan Fitzgerald, GB DST$48,900Coker hits on the deep shots, Jacobs grinds out the Green Bay drives, and both kickers stay busy.
5Chuba HubbardJordan Love, Bryce Young, Jalen Coker, Darren Waller, CAR DST$49,900Carolina wins the ground game off the left edge and its defense forces a takeaway.

Build 1 is four Panthers deep because Carolina's offense runs faster and throws more, and the two Green Bay pieces are the ones that score when the Packers stall.

Model Recommended Bets

Our NFL game simulations land on Green Bay 26, Carolina 21. Nothing on this game cleared the bar for a bet tonight.

Long Shot Touchdown Bets

My favorite long shot is Bryce Young at +750. Our number has him finding the end zone 14.5% of the time, against 11.1% in the market. He doesn't run much, with a 9.5-yard rushing line, so this is a bet on a short-yardage keeper at a good price.

Trevor Etienne (+1300) sits at 8.0% on our side and 6.0% in the market, but the books disagree badly on him, and only the best number is worth it. John Metchie III (+850) is near fair at 10.0% to 9.3%, and Bo Melton (+800) is 11.0% to 9.8% with the books split again. At those prices a gap that small isn't much of an edge.

On four Packers the market sits well above our numbers. Josh Jacobs (-139) is 48.6% in the market to our 38.0%, Savion Williams (+390) is 18.1% to 12.8%, Christian Watson (+140) is 36.2% to 31.7%, and Tucker Kraft (+175) is 30.9% to 26.7%.

Final Thoughts

With one entry, I'm playing Build 1: McMillan at CPT with Young, Hubbard, Coker, Smack and the Green Bay D/ST, for $49,500.

Before lock, Golden's shoulder is all I'm waiting on. An inactive Golden moves Watson and Melton up in my builds and pushes more entries to Build 3. An active Golden stays a large-field FLEX.

For large fields, I'd stay on the Carolina passing game and get off the Love CPT builds. Young at CPT does that, and Coker at $11,700 is the captain few people will play.

Tools used for this slate

The five builds started from this week's NFL DFS projections and the free NFL lineup optimizer, which prices showdown captains for every game on the board.

NFL defense against the position showed how much Carolina gives up to running backs, the NFL run gap tool pointed Chuba Hubbard at the left edge, NFL coverage splits by receiver flagged Jalen Coker against a zone-heavy Green Bay defense, NFL personnel groupings kept Tommy Tremble on the field, NFL Elo ratings by unit named the Carolina receivers as the biggest gap, and the NFL WOWY tool sized the Matthew Golden split.

NFL weather and roof status confirmed a dry night at Lambeau Field, live NFL odds and totals has the touchdown prices, and the NFL DFS hub ties it all together.
